CAREER OPENING: SALES REPRESENTATIVE MIDWEST TERRITORY

About Rollem International
Rollem was founded in 1963 and today we have offices across the U.S. We provide print finishing machinery including slitting, scoring, perforating, collating, die-cutting, kiss-cutting, folding/gluing and card converting equipment. Rollem’s customer base includes printing operations, in-plant print shops, packaging companies, binderies, and specialty printers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire Mid-West territory and will be based out of our Schaumburg, IL office.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven track record delivering on defined sales objectives.
• 3-5 years’ experience in selling to businesses
• Experience in equipment or printing equipment sales helpful but not required
• Strong interpersonal skills, time management experience and a self-starter.
• Competitive, self-confident and growth oriented.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with CRM programs, ideally Salesforce
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to eligible to fly for business meetings and trade events
• Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
• Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills.
• Must be able to work independently as well as with the sales team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sell and promote Rollem products while meeting individual and company sales goals.
• Utilize our existing client data base and sales leads to implement your individual customer contact plan.
• Represent our organization in a professional manner during customer plant visits and industry events
• Candidate will be responsible for the Mid-West Territory sales and must be confident in the selling process.
• Must be a self-starter and driven to perform independently.
• Ability to source and develop sales leads via personal visits to potential clients.
• Position reports to the Sales Manager, located in our Southern California office.
• Rollem will train the successful candidate on Rollem’s line of finishing machinery.
• Support our existing client base and become their trusted point of contact.
• Utilize CRM to schedule follow-up actions and record relevant information to build upon customer interactions.
• Become the first point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints in your territory.
• Be willing to expand your product knowledge to increase performance and further expand ability to effectively generate profitable customer sales.
• Opportunity for growth commensurate with customer expansion in this region. The Mid-West area is a hub for companies in the printing industry.

Career Opening – Service Technician

Service Technician needed for well-established company selling and servicing machinery to the printing finishing industry. Candidate will receive training on Rollem’s equipment line, but they must be a quick learner who has some hands on mechanical experience and some basic electrical knowledge. This person will be based in our Schaumburg, IL office, but will also be traveling to customer facilities in the Midwest and beyond to install and service our equipment.

Rollem’s customers are generally printing operations, in-plant print shops, packaging companies, binderies, and specialty printers.

Job Responsibilities include:
-Installation of equipment and operational training for new customers who acquired Rollem equipment.
-Diagnose problems and service our equipment at the customer’s plant.
-Communicate with customers over the phone and through email to diagnose issues.
-Take and fulfill machine parts orders.
-Crate and uncrate machinery.
-Load and unload trucks with a forklift.
-Do miscellaneous jobs around the office.
-Assist with trade show set-up and demonstrations
This candidate will perform service and installations of our machinery. Must be able to communicate with operators and managers during installations and service calls. Candidate will train with our Senior Service Techician who is retiring. Rollem’s customers are generally printing operations, in-plant print shops, packaging companies, binderies, and specialty printers. Opportunity for growth within the company’s Midwest operation.

Requirements:
– Basic mechanical experience
– Basic electrical knowledge helpful
– Some experience working with machinery or equipment (printing industry experience helpful but not required)
– High School or Trade School graduate
– Some college helpful but not required
– Good verbal and written communication skills
– Computer knowledge and use of Microsoft Office programs required
– Ability to drive and fly for business
